Hard Frost {Personal}

I planted sunflowers late last year, it was probably August before I even put seeds in the planter. They managed to survive my lack of gardening skills, a move to a new house, and the quickly cooling weather all the way through to November, partially due to my dragging the heavy planter across the driveway into the garage every evening as the nights got colder. They were even blooming and happy the first days of December…when I forgot to bring them in one night and it frosted…hard.  Ah well, at least they went out in style  The last photo is what really inspired me to go and grab my camera brrr!!
